This document reflects how HairProof is actually built and operated. It is pending final review by legal counsel and may be updated; material changes will be announced and re-consented where required.
HairProof is not medical care
HairProof provides photo standardization, tracking, and educational progress summaries. It is not a medical device, does not practice medicine, and no output — including safety screenings, progress reports, and any language in the app or on this site — is a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or medical advice. No doctor-patient relationship is created by using the Service.
What our reports mean
Reports describe visible change between your own matched photographs, with stated confidence and comparability. Consumer photographs cannot count follicles, measure absolute density, or determine the cause of hair change. Findings can be wrong; “uncertain” is a possible and honest result. Many conditions can only be evaluated by a licensed professional examining you in person.
Screening has limits
Our intake asks about warning signs and, when they appear, urges professional care — for example: “Your answers include findings that should be evaluated by a licensed healthcare professional before relying on routine hair-loss guidance.” This screening depends entirely on the accuracy of your answers, cannot detect what it does not ask about, and can miss conditions. A clear screening result never means nothing is wrong.
Emergencies
Never use HairProof for urgent symptoms. Some of your answers may require prompt medical attention. HairProof cannot assess emergencies. Contact emergency services or an urgent medical professional now if symptoms are severe or worsening.
Treatments and outcomes
HairProof does not sell, recommend, or endorse any treatment, and never advises starting, stopping, or changing prescription medication — those decisions belong with you and your licensed prescriber. We make no promise of regrowth or any other outcome; individual results vary widely. Imagery on our marketing pages is AI-generated demonstration imagery and does not depict real customers or outcomes.
Talk to a professional
For diagnosis and treatment of hair loss, consult a board-certified dermatologist or other qualified healthcare professional. HairProof's job is to give that conversation better data — nothing more.
