Terms of Service

HairProof (the “Service”) provides photo standardization, hair-change tracking, and educational progress summaries for adults. The Service is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, does not diagnose any condition, and does not replace care from a qualified healthcare professional. Progress reports describe visible change between your own matched photographs with stated uncertainty; they are context for conversations with licensed professionals, not conclusions about health.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is not intended for minors and must not be used to track a child's hair. The Service is currently offered to residents of the United States; availability elsewhere is not represented. By creating an account you confirm the information you provide is accurate and about yourself.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to access other users' data.

• The free plan includes a baseline scan, safety screening, and one comparison per month at no charge.
• HairProof Plus renews automatically each month at $9.99 (plus applicable taxes) until you cancel. The renewal date is always shown on your billing page.
• Cancel anytime from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. We do not charge cancellation fees.
• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card details. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable, but you may contact us about billing mistakes at any time and we will review in good faith.
• Prices may change prospectively with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively.

You own your photographs, questionnaire answers, and logs. You grant HairProof a limited, revocable license to store and process them solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your content, do not use it for third-party advertising, and do not use your photographs to train AI models. You can export or delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

• Do not upload images of any person other than yourself without their consent.
• Do not attempt to access, probe, or disrupt other users' data or the Service's security.
• Do not use the Service for emergencies, or as a substitute for professional care.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or misrepresent the Service or its outputs.

The Service includes screening questions intended to surface findings that deserve professional evaluation. Screening is informational and depends on your answers being accurate; it can miss conditions and is not a diagnosis. If you have urgent symptoms, contact emergency services or a medical professional immediately — do not rely on the Service. Please read the Medical Disclaimer which forms part of these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAIRPROOF DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PROGRESS ESTIMATES ARE EDUCATIONAL, CARRY UNCERTAINTY, AND MAY BE INACCURATE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTCOME (INCLUDING HAIR REGROWTH) WILL OCCUR.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAIRPROOF AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify and hold HairProof harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right (including uploading another person's image without consent).

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. Any claims must be brought within one year of the events giving rise to them, where permitted by law.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at this page.
